Shortening & Combining Prayer During Umrah

Is it obligatory to shorten and combine the prayers during the Umrah trip?

Yes, when you are travelling in the way, you shorten and you combine, that is the Sunnah of the Prophet (Peace and blessings be upon him), but when you are there in Makkah in the Haram you don't shorten because you are praying in the Masjid (the Haram) so will be praying just like the people.
